The Los Angeles Dodgers travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin as they kick off Game 1 of the NLCS series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Brewers are riding an 11 game win streak heading into tonight’s matchup. However, during the regular season, the Brewers accumulated a 96-67 record.
The Dodgers, on the other hand, are riding a 4-1 record within their last five games. The only loss coming in Game 3 of the National League Divisional Series against the Atlanta Braves in which they lost 6-5. During the season, the Dodgers were a different story accumulating a 92-71 record.

Milwaukee Brewers:

On the mound, tonight for the Brewers is left-handed pitcher Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez posted a 2.13 ERA through five starts this season for Milwaukee.
This season, Gonzalez posted a 10-11 record with a 4.21 ERA with 148 total strikeouts. Gonzalez was recently with the Washington Nationals prior to being acquired from the Brewers before the trade deadline.
The Brewers have arguably the strongest bullpen within the league which means Gonzalez won’t be on the mound for long tonight against LA.
Yelich is having an MVP caliber season for the Brewers this year. Since being acquired from the Miami Marlins prior to the start of the season, Yelich has accumulated a .325 batting average along with team highs 36 HRs and 110 RBIs this season.
Los Angeles Dodger:
On the mound for the Dodgers is a left-handed ace, Clayton Kershaw.
Kershaw posted a 9-5 record this season with a 2.73 ERA and 155 total strikeouts. During his latest performance against the Atlanta Braves, Kershaw pitched eight innings while allowing just two hits and striking out three batters.
In 14 career starts against the Brewers, Kershaw is 6-5 with a 2.86 ERA which includes a 4-1 record with a 1.40 ERA in seven starts at Miller Park.
Matt Kemp has been an impressive player for the Dodgers organization offensively. Kemp currently rides a .290 batting average while recording 85 RBIs and 21 HRs this season.
