The Chicago Cubs made franchise history on Wednesday, September 26th as the team clinched their fourth straight playoff appearance.
The Chicago Cubs had a little help from the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night.
The Brewers defeated the St Louis Cardinals which ultimately clinched a playoff spot. Hours later the Cubs went on to win 7-6 against the Pirates in 10 innings.
The Cubs will begin the final series of the regular season as they face off against division foes the St Louis Cardinals.
The Chicago Cubs have been dominant at home defending Wrigley Field as they possess a 48-29 home record.
However, the St. Louis Cardinals have had their fair share of success on the road this season. Although the Cardinals are out of the playoffs, the club can try their best to put a damper on the Cubs heading into October.
On the mound for the Cubs is the right-handed ace, Kyle Hendricks.
