Betts’ slam leads Red Sox past Blue Jays 6-4 for 10th in row

Mookie Betts finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and five RBIs, and Jackie Bradley Jr. finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored to lead the Boston Red Sox (66-29) over the Toronto Blue Jays (42-50), 6-4, at Fenway Park on Thursday Night.

Left-handed pitcher David Price earned the win, pitching 6.2 innings, striking out eight batters while giving up three runs on six hits for the Red Sox. Craig Kimbrel earned the save, pitching the final inning, giving up one hit for the Red Sox.

Sandy Leon finished 0-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Red Sox. Leading the Blue Jays offensively was Teoscar Hernandez, who finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.

The Boston Red Sox scored six runs on eight hits, the Toronto Blue Jays scored four runs on 11 hits while committing an error.
