David Peralta finished 5-for-6 with three runs scored and three RBIs, Paul Goldschmidt finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks (50-40) over the San Diego Padres (38-53), 20-5, at Chase Field on Sunday Night.
Although Robbie Ray didn’t earn the win, Ray pitched 4.1 innings, striking out seven batters while giving up four runs on four hits for the Diamondbacks. Reliever right-handed pitcher Randall Delgado earned the win, pitching 1.2 innings, giving up just one hit for the Diamondbacks.
Alex Avila finished 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs. Leading the Padres offensively was Wil Myers, who finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored and four RBIs.
The Arizona Diamondbacks scored 20 runs on 18 hits while the San Diego Padres scored five runs on seven hits with two errors committed.
