Down 9, Nats rally for 14-12 win over Marlins

Trea Turner finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and eight RBIs, Matt Adams finished 4-for-5 with three runs scored to lead the Washington Nationals (43-43) over the Miami Marlins (36-53), 14-12, at Nationals Park on Thursday Night.

Right-handed relieve pitcher Shawn Kelley earned the win, striking out two batters and giving up one hits for the Nationals. Sean Doolittle earned the save, pitching the final inning, striking out two batters while giving up two hits for the Nationals.

Juan Soto finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a walk for the Nationals. Leading the Marlins offensively was J.T. Realmuto, who finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.


The Washington Nationals scored 14 runs, on 12 hits with an error committed while the Miami Marlins scored 12 runs, on 14 hits.
