Calhoun homers, Angels end Mariners’ streak with 7-4 win

Kole Calhoun finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs, and Luis Valbuena finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Los Angeles Angels (44-43) over the Seattle Mariners (55-32), 7-4, at Safeco Field on Wednesday afternoon.

Right-handed pitcher Garrett Richards earned the win, pitching five innings, striking out eight batters while allowing two runs on four hits for the Angels. Blake Parker earned the save, pitching the final inning, and giving up two hits for the Angels.

Albert Pujols finished 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI for the Angels. Leading the Mariners offensively was Kyle Seager, who finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.
