Left-handed pitcher Alex Wood (5-5) earned the win, pitching six innings, striking out three batters while allowing one run on six hits for the Dodgers. Caleb Ferguson (1) earned the save, pitching the final three innings, striking out one batters and giving up just three hits.
Yasmani Grandal finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for the Dodgers. Leading the Pirates offensively was Elias Diaz, who finished 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.
The Los Angeles Dodgers scored 17 runs on 21 hits with a committed error while the Pittsburgh Pirates scored one run on nine hits with three committed errors.
