Nick Markakis finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and five RBIs, Ozzie Albies finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs to lead the Atlanta Braves (47-34) over the St. Louis Cardinals (42-39), 11-4, at Busch Stadium on Saturday night.
Left-handed pitcher Max Fried earned the win, during the 6.2 innings pitched, Fried struck out 11 batters while giving up just four hits for the Braves. Matt Wisler and Sam Freeman finished out the game as they pitched 2.1 innings while giving up four runs on five hits but struck out two batters for the Braves.
Ronald Acuna Jr. finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs for the Braves. Leading the Cardinals offensively was Harrison Bader, who finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
The Atlanta Braves scored 11 runs on 15 hits with an error while the St. Louis Cardinals scored four runs on nine hits with an error.
