Mike Trout went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored and Justin Upton went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored to lead the Los Angeles Angels (33-28) over the Kansas City Royals (21-39), 9-6, on Monday afternoon at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
Right-handed pitcher Cam Bedrosian earned the win, pitching the eighth inning, while not allowing a hit but failed to record a strikeout for the Angels. Blake Parker pitched the final inning for the Angels, not allowing a hit while recording one strikeout.
Jefry Marte went 4-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Angels. Leading the Royals offensively was Mike Moustakas, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run score.
The Angels scored nine runs, on 14 hits, while the Royals scored six runs, on 12 hits with one error.
