Game 2 Preview between the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.
Game 2 will take place on April 17th at TD Garden at 8PM on TNT.
The Boston Celtics had a lot going in their favor prior to the season, when they signed free agent, Gordon Hayward and traded for point guard Kyrie Irving. With Al Horford already being a member of the roster the Celtics were supposed to have their Big Three before the injuries started to plague the roster. The Celtics lost Hayward during Game one when he suffered a nasty leg injury and later down the road they also would lose Irving for the rest of the year due to knee surgery. So, that leaves big man Al Horford, this season Horford has been very quiet on the court but overall gained respect from his teammates and coaches but hasn’t been able to win over his fans.
The Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks began the offseason on Sunday, and fans were much more pleased with Al Horfords performance. Horford posted 24 points and 12 rebounds offensively, but set the tone early on the defensive end after he recorded three blocks and two steals during the Celtics 113-107 OT time win that gave them a 1-0 series lead. The Celtics had a lot missing on the offensive end with injuries to Irving, Smart, Hayward, and Theis. Veteran Al Horford had a big hole to fill offensively.
The No. 7 Milwaukee Bucks were able to tie Sundays game on a 35 foot jump shot from Khris Middleton with 0.5 seconds remaining in regulation. Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe is seeing the post season for the first time since 2014. This series is going to be a tough matchup for both teams and if the Bucks can pull off the series win it will be their first since 2000. Bledsoe scored nine points as he went 4-of-12 shooting but he also recorded four assists and five turnovers. Bledsoe had some defense issues when he was guarding Terry Rozier as Rozier was able to record 17 of his 23 points in the second half and OT. Antetokounmpo fouled out while guarding Al Horford in overtime but prior to leaving the game Antetokounmpo was able to record 35 points on 5 of 8 shootings and made 13 of 14 free throws. Antetokounmpo was also able to record 13 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.
Bucks win 112-108 and even the series 1-1
